Revised border measures will manage the threat of foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) from air passengers arriving directly from Bali, according to Biosecurity New Zealand.
Biosecurity co-operation topped the agenda when Australia and New Zealand’s agriculture ministers met last week.
The government is working with supermarkets to assess the risk posed by food products as part of measure to protect against foot and mouth disease which threatens a $10bn hit to the economy.
