Lightning-fast order processing times will be the result when Cardinal, New Zealand’s largest privately-owned logistics company, completes the first build of its revolutionary automated warehouse program.
Cardinal’s fully automated 115,000 pallet warehouse with goods-to-person carton picking will be a world-class facility, built around customer solutions and helping transform logistics on demand.
Built in partnership with Daifuku, the world’s number 1 material handling Company, the facility will incorporate industry-leading depalletizing robots, 17, 22-metre high-speed pallet cranes, rapid Sorting Transfer Vehicles, and energy efficient Carton Shuttles. Instrumental in streamlining the process of accurately transporting customer products to their destination, at rapid speed.
The result is both guaranteed order accuracy and pallets loaded in sequence, aligned to store aisle topography for delivery to either DC or direct to store.
Cardinal’s new Drury warehouse is planned to be fully operational by December 2023 and is the first of three similar facilities planned over the coming years.
A May 16th event with keynote speaker, Rt Hon Sir John Key, will explore the driving forces behind Cardinal’s pursuit of innovation and technology.
This is a chance for you to learn more about a new and improved supply chain for the good of New Zealand.
