What new food and beverage products launched during the week to 8 December?
Woolworths has brought back its sold-out 2022 hit – the Christmas Smash Cake.
The grocery group’s limited edition cake has a solid chocolate dome which, when broken, reveals layers of chocolate sponge and buttercream, topped with an assortment of sweets.
As part of its Christmas offering, the supermarket has also released a DIY Gingerbread House.
Sold in Countdown and Woolworths supermarkets, the 1.3kg smash cake has an RRP of $50.
Scapegrace Distilling Co is hitting summer with the release of a limited edition ten-strong sample pack of their vodka and gin RTDs.
The Perfect 10 is made up of five flavours including the Hibiscus & Ruby Red Grapefruit and Japanese Yuzu Lemon gin and sodas, as well as Red Delicious Apple and Pear, Pomegranate & Doris Plum, and Hawke’s Bay Lime vodka and sodas.
The pack has an RRP of $29.99 and it will be available at all major liquor stores in New Zealand.
And Duck Island Ice Cream is rolling out the festive flavours into its scoop shops.
It has gone for a Christmas trifecta, with a spiced gingerbread caramel, which has dark cane sugar and ginger ice cream base plus hunks of gingerbread cookie dough and a ginger caramel swirl.
Second is a summery number, coconut sticky rice and mango curd, followed up by the indulgent black forest cake, with chocolate ice cream, cherry jam and buttercream-frosted chocolate cake.
