Easter limited editions are lining the shelves, with Twiice and Lotus Biscoff delivering incarnations of the humble hot cross bun, while Tony’s Chocolonely goes for a lemon meringue-inspired treat.
Tony’s Chocolonely is bringing you an ethical choice this Easter.
The Belgian fair trade chocolate manufacturer has introduced a limited edition Milk Chocolate Lemon Meringue Bar for the annual holiday.
The 180-gram bar retails for $9.99 at Farro Fresh, select supermarkets, and online at Cook and Nelson.
Edible tableware manufacturer Twiice is getting in on the seasonal treat.
The company has dropped a limited edition hot cross bun flavoured cup for its latest innovation, serving up vanilla flavour, mixed peel, allspice, ginger, mixed spice, nutmeg, and cinnamon vibes.
A five-pack is available online for $15.
New World is also getting on the limited edition hot cross bun act this Easter.
The Foodstuffs supermarket banner is following up last year’s collaboration with Pic’s Peanut Butter to partner with Belgian biscuit brand Lotus Biscoff this year.
Once again, the baked good was designed by New World Kaikoura bakery manager Steven Ogden as part of the annual Foodstuffs South Island Hot Cross Bun competition.
They are now available in New World stores across the South Island with an RRP of $4.99 for a pack of six.
Angel Delivery has launched a new Hot Cross Bun Box.
The package includes Wellington’s Arobake hot cross buns, Lewis Road Creamery butter and Bonne Maman jam, along with a ‘restful’ tea tin.
It is priced at $65.
