Fresh Cuts: What’s new for the week to 23 September?

23rd September 2022 By Staff Reporter | news@foodticker.co.nz | @foodtickernz

Check what’s new to the market for the week to 23 September 2022. Do you have a new product scheduled for release? Send us the details at product@foodticker.co.nz and we’ll help spread the news.

Whittaker’s extends its core range, Kiwi Quinoa sees red, Fix & Fogg gets into pumpkin spice season, while Good Buzz Beverage Co expands with a new RTD brand.

A new addition to Whittaker’s core range this week.

The 250g Hazella block features a hazelnut gianduja centre encased in Whittaker’s classic 33% cocoa Creamy Milk chocolate.

The Porirua chocolate company said it has created the gianduja using state-of-the-art technology, which blends the ingredients so that palm oil is not required to stabilise the gianduja filling as is commonly the case.

Hazella is a permanent addition to Whittaker’s core range and will be available in supermarkets nationwide from Monday 26 September 2022 with an RRP of $5.49.

Locally grown ancient grain pioneers Kiwi Quinoa have brought a red variety to market.

Kiwi Red Quinoa joins its flagship Kiwi White Quinoa available to buy direct online, as well as at selected New World stores, Farro, Sabato, Moore Wilson’s, Fresh Choice and independent grocery and health stores.

The 400g bag has an RRP of $12.

Globetrotting Wellington nut butter company Fix & Fogg is delivering some Americana for the seasonal change in the US – its largest export market.

Pumpkin Pie Butter is made with pecans, cashews, peanuts, warm spices and real pumpkin.

The 275g jar is a seasonal release on sale via both Fix & Fogg’s New Zealand and US online stores and exclusively in Whole Foods Market in the US.

And timed for the change of season in this hemisphere is a new RTD brand from the team at Good Buzz Beverage Co.

Quite Good is a four-strong range made with vodka or gin blended with organic New Zealand fruit extracts, organic New Zealand kombucha and sparkling water.

Available in 330ml cans at 5% Alc/Vol at liquor stores across the North Island in a 10-pack with an RRP of $29.99.
