16th February 2024 By Staff Reporter | news@foodticker.co.nz | @foodtickernz

Mondelēz kicks off 2024 NPD with Pascall lump innovation, Scapegrace + Prophet’s Rock team up for vermouth debut, and Brown Brothers’ zero alcohol range hits New Zealand.

Mondelēz’s Pascall Raspberry Lumps

Global confectionary giant Mondelēz is keeping the local new product development current pushing out another lump innovation.

This time the Pascall’s brand has gone for a raspberry flavour for the classic Kiwi confectionery.

The limited edition has an RRP of $3.30 for $120g and is being distributed to supermarkets, dairies, and convenience stores.

Scapegrace + Prophet’s Rock’s Vermouth

Central Otago distillery Scapegrace has teamed up with its neighbours, winemaker Prophet’s Rock to create what they say are two of the country’s first vintage vermouths.

The Scapegrace + Prophet’s Rock Vermouth has been four years in gestation and is now available in both a red and a white.

The vintage is extremely limited with only 3,000 bottles for sale. It has an RRP of $72.00 and will be available for trade via Hancocks Wines & Spirits, specialist outlets nationwide or online.

Brown Brothers’ new Zero range

From alcohol to non-alc, Brown Brothers has introduced its Zero range to the New Zealand market.

The Australian wine giant’s three-strong range comprises Moscato Zero, Prosecco Rosé Zero, and Prosecco Zero, all made using spinning-cone technology to remove the alcohol.

The Moscato is priced from $12.99, while the prosecco’s start at $14.99 for a 750ml bottle via supermarkets and major liquor stores.
