Yealands chief winemaker Nat Christensen has echoed his peers reporting on a challenging 2021 harvest alongside expectations of a stellar vintage.
He said this year was the wine producer’s earliest harvest on record, starting 1 March, “and the quality was outstanding”.
The late spring frosts in Marlborough and some challenging weather over the flowering period resulted in “moderate crops throughout the region”.
