Heartland Potato Chips finds a collab partner in Behemoth Brewing Co, with complementary product releases from the duo, Westgold has a new look, Cookie Time chills, and Havana goes royal.
The latest product from South Island chip company Heartland Potato Chips is the result of a collaboration with what they said was an unlikely partner in Auckland’s Behemoth Brewing.
It was case of the “South Canterbury rural farmers meeting the lads from the big smoke in Mt Eden” to create “These chips are making me thirsty” malt vinegar chips.
The 150g bag is available in supermarkets and retail outlets with an RRP of $4.20.
To tie in with Heartland’s chip luanch, Behemoth Brewing has put put its own limited edition.
The “This IPA is making me peckish IPA” is 5.8% Alc/vol, slightly malty but a very hoppy Simcoe and Nelson Sauvin hopped IPA.
Available online, with a six pack of 30ml cans with a regular price of $23.99.
Not strictly a new product, but on we will include in the interest of keeping up to date with market developments.
Dairy company Westland Milk Products has pushed out a new packet for its Westgold brand butter., inspired by its West Coast home.
It is on supermarket shelves now, with the 400g block having a regular price of $7.20.
Cookie Time partnered with ice cream manufacturer Appleby Farms and chilled distributor Streets to develop Cookie Time Cookie Sandwiches, which sees it enter the frozen treat category.
The new product comes in two flavours. The Original Chocolate Chunk Cookie Sandwich, which is two original recipe cookies plus ice cream, and the Double Chocolate Chunk Cookie Sandwich, using the company’s plant-based cookies plus chocolate coconut cream.
The 71 gram ice cream snacks are now due to be available in Streets freezers nationwide from 1 March, with an RRP of $5.
Havana Coffee Works is doing its bit to support those impacted by Cyclone Gabrielle, launching a limited edition blend created by Her Royal Highness Princess Anne.
It is auctioning off s 500-gram bags of coffee roasted by HRH on Trade Me to raise funds for the Red Cross, with the starting price of $50.
The blend has also been produced commercially and is available now at Havana’s Wellington and Auckland Roasteries or can be purchased online, with a 250g bag starting at $17.
