The second round opened for expressions of interest from 14 May, seeking industry-led projects that would revolutionise the carbon challenge and achieve zero-carbon outcomes throughout the food and fibres value chain.
First round winners included Methane Mitigation Ventures, which received $348,291 to support the development of a tool to demonstrate successful methane reduction in ruminants treated with natural feed supplements, while Pearl Pastures received $325,000 to further develop its ethically produced grass and milk fed ‘pearl’ veal business.
