Monthly goods exports were up $461m to $5.9bn after a 12% rise in dairy products in the month of May, according to Stats NZ.
Dairy product exports came in at $1.5bn, up $154m on the same month last year as both values and volumes rose.
The increase was driven by milk powder which rose $129m or 18% in value, and 18% in quantity. Other drivers included fresh milk, up $33m or 42% in value, and 55% in quantity.
