Zespri says its 2021 SunGold Kiwifruit and Zespri Red licence release will be worth between $430m-$435m.
The co-op said in an update to the USX on Wednesday that the latest preliminary result compared to last year’s range of $300m-$305m.
Although it noted that “the amount of Red19 licence available expanded from 150ha in 2020 to 350ha in 2021”.
“This revenue range is a preliminary estimate, based on information compiled to date by [law firm] Cooney Lees Morgan during the bid validation process,” Zespri said.
“The bid validation process is not yet complete, and the evaluation panel has yet to make rulings regarding the validity of some bids, and to make the final allocations.”
All bidders would be notified of the result of their bids by 3 May 2021 and licence packs distributed to successful bidders from 25 May.
Zespri said trading of its shares on the USX would recommence at 9am Friday 23 April 2021. Trading was halted on Wednesday 7 April to allow the finalisation of the 2021 Gold3 and Zespri Red tender process.
