Zespri is reviewing how innovation operates at the kiwifruit co-op and is calling for input from internal and external stakeholders, including growers.
Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is analysing how innovation operates at Zespri with a view to improving performance.
“The role set for innovation remains unchanged: to make a healthy impact in the world, enabling our industry to thrive, by creating value through science-based solutions,” Zespri said.
“As Zespri and the industry continues to grow rapidly, we are committed to driving innovations that meet consumer future needs and address the key challenges faced by the industry that can prevent us from realising our potential.”
The co-op said the purpose of the innovation operating model review is to ensure:
BCG is seeking input from growers about what is working well, where there were pain points, and what could be improved.
Two sessions with BCG have been arranged for 1pm Monday 13 December and 1pm Wednesday 15 December. Zespri staff would not attend.
