The supreme winner of the Vegan Society Aotearoa New Zealand inaugural Vegan Cheese Awards was Dunedin deli Let Them Eat Vegan for its Cheddar Spread.
The product also took out the soft cheese category, followed by runner up Treetops Foods with its Sundried Tomato and Garlic soft cheese.
Other winners included:
Zenzo, which took out the mozzarella category, followed by runner up Angel Food.
Feta winners were jointly Angel Food and Let Them Eat Vegan. The Runner Up was Savour.
The Cream Cheese category was won by Angel Food, while the runner up was Grater Goods.
The Hard Cheese winner was Treetops Food with their Pepper Kick.
Flavoured Cheese winner is Savour with their Cumin, followed by runner up Savour with their Chipotle.
Surface Ripened winner was Moa with their Blue, while the runner up was Savour with their Cashbert.
Finally, the Commercial Cheddar winner was Zenzo, with Zenzo also taking the runner up spot with with their Smoky Paprika.
