Westland Milk Products has reduced coal consumption at its Hokitika plant by 20% in the 2021-2022 season compared to the previous year.
Westland Milk Products has officially opened its new $40m butter plant in Hokitika.
US consumers are a big focus for the dairy company’s increased volumes, and the UK is on the agenda thanks to the proposed FTA.
The project will reduce the factory’s carbon emissions by 7%.
He takes over from Shiqing Jian who has been interim chief executive.
