Saint Clair has won a gold medal and the trophy for the best wine from New Zealand at the Hong Kong International Wine and Spirits Competition.
Saint Clair Pioneer Block 14 Doctor’s Creek Pinot Noir 2020 picked up the title at the event, which is a sister competition to London’s prestigious International Wine and Spirits Competition.
Closer to home, Whitehaven Wines’ 2021 Kōparepare Marlborough Pinot Noir Rosé has won gold at the Marlborough Wine Show.
It was the second year in a row that the wine has won a gold medal at the competition, with only three rosé wines awarded gold in both 2020 and 2021.
The Pinot Noir Rosé forms part of the Kōparepare wine range that supported the marine environment in New Zealand, with a donation going to non-profit LegaSea with every bottle sold.
