Rockit says its apple sales jumped 94% in mainland China for the Mid-Autumn Festival sales period, compared to the same time last year.
Rockit general manager of global sales Mark Pay said the sales followed a marketing campaign celebrating the festival, which was observed on Tuesday 21 September this year.
About 120,000 Rockit giftboxes were sold in-store and across e-commerce platforms Fruit Day, TMall and JD.com.
“Our sales on TMall and JD.com increased by an incredible 600% throughout the campaign,” Pay said.
“We also saw over 120,000 visitor views on TMall – smashing our target 80,000 – demonstrating how effective our marketing efforts and e-commerce promotions have been in this market.”
