The Restaurant Association is planning a two minute “lights out” event on 6 July to highlight the labour shortage in the hospitality industry.
The association said the event would be part of a two-month campaign “to raise awareness and educate customers on the degree of impact the skill shortages are having and generate public support”.
Lights will go out for two minutes from 7.00pm – 7.02pm, or 11.30am – 11.32am for daytime businesses.
