The Meat Industry Association has awarded seven new scholarships to young people considering a career in the red meat and exporting sectors.
The association said this year’s cohort were studying subjects ranging from food science to agribusiness, food marketing and supply chain management.
It awarded $5000 per year for undergraduates and $10,000 for post-graduate scholarships.
There were more than 40 applications for this year’s intake.
