The Meat Industry Association has awarded 11 scholarships to students considering careers in the red meat processing and exporting sector.
The association awarded undergraduates $5,000 per year and post-graduates $10,000 per year.
The association said there were more than 50 applicants for the 2021 scholarship programme.
