Fruit growers in New Zealand are being connected to students across the country looking for summer fruit picking work to help fill the void left by a lack of overseas workers.
Student Job Search has partnered with the Ministry for Primary Industries on the initiative, which would see thousands of fruit picking roles available across the country between November and March.
SJS chief executive Suzanne Boyd said seasonal work was an “excellent opportunity” for students to gain experience before they graduate.
