Havana delivers a limited edition late summer coffee vibe, the Sara Lee & Cadbury tie-up gets in on the Caramilk innovation, Aotearoa’s first volcanic-filtered vodka, and pink ribbon biscuits are back.

Havana Coffee Works has gone live with a new limited edition blend called Reunion.

The coffee is said to evoke the vibrant sweetness of berry jam with a smooth macadamia finish – a feeling akin to the warmth of good company under the late summer sun.

The bags are available in three sizes online via Havana or at selected supermarkets.

Sara Lee and Mondelez’s Cadbury brand partnership has delivered the Caramilk Mousse Cake to New Zealand supermarket freezers.

The innovation – which features a biscuit base topped with Caramilk mousse, Caramilk sauce, and Caramilk Flake sprinkles – comes off the back of the success of Sara Lee and Cadbury’s most recent release, the Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate Fudge Cake.

Available in Countdown and New World nationwide.

Also this week, Aotearoa’s first volcanic-filtered vodka, Burnt Hill.

Founders Ben Paul and Nathan Johnston said it is made from only two pure ingredients; sustainably sourced sugarcane and fresh artesian spring water, and is distilled eight times using traditional methods before being filtered through black obsidian.

RRP $64.99 for a 700ml bottle (40% Alc/vol) available online and selected stockists, including some hospitality outlets.

And finally, the bikkies are back.

Griffin’s and Foodstuffs have completed the annual production of biscuits to help raise $175,000 for the Breast Cancer Foundation New Zealand.

The shortbread biscuit, which has been produced with either pink or milk chocolate icing, would be sold at New World, PAK’nSAVE and Four Square stores nationwide for the month of May.

A dollar from every packet of biscuits will go directly to the charity, which works to raise Kiwis’ overall awareness of breast health and the importance of early detection, as well as providing free support services for breast cancer patients.
