22nd July 2022 By Staff Reporter | news@foodticker.co.nz | @foodtickernz

Check what’s new to the market for the week to 22 July 2022. Do you have a new product scheduled for release? Send us the details at product@foodticker.co.nz and we’ll help spread the news.

This week, Parrotdog x Boring = Boring Beer, Bennetto’s new Forest & Bird offering, Good Buzz adds a classic combo, and Griffin’s “re-introduces” Eta Uppercuts with some new flavours to boot.

If it has been a Dry July, here’s an option to end the drought.

Wellington brewer Parrotdog and Boring Oat Milk have teamed up to create an oat milk hazy IPA, which wears its heart on its sleeve with the name Boring Beer.

According to the duo, the top secret oat milk base added to barley, wheat, hops, yeast, water and more oats results in a silky, tropical breakfast bowl.

The 440ml cans with 6.0 ABV have an RRP of $11.99 direct from Parrotdog online and in-store.

Bennetto has gone with the Pekapeka-tou-roa for its Forest & Bird original rich dark organic chocolate in 60% cocoa offering this year.

All profits – approximately $1 per bar – go directly to Forest & Bird to aid Pekapeka conservation efforts. No added dairy, gluten or soy, and it is vegan-certified through the Vegan Society, as well as Coeliac Society-approved.

Available in 14 x 100g units for $83.10.

Good Buzz has tapped into a classic flavour combo to expand its range.

The beverage brand has blended organic New Zealand boysenberries and apples with organic cane sugar, Bay of Plenty artisan spring water and organic tea.

The full range consists of six flavours, each available in 328ml size or 888ml size bottle with an RRP $3.69 and $7.99 respectively sold in grocery, convenience and select cafes, bars, restaurants, gyms and health stores nationwide.

Griffin’s has “re-introduced” its Eta Uppercuts.

Alongside a new look pack comes a thinner crispier chip, as well as two new flavours, Caramelised Red Onion & Sour Cream and Himalayan Pink Salt & Black Pepper.

It is selling at supermarkets for $3.20 for a 140g bag.
