Fresh Cuts: What’s new for the week to 20 May?

20th May 2022 By Staff Reporter | news@foodticker.co.nz | @foodtickernz

Check what’s new to the market for the week to 20 May 2022. Do you have a new product scheduled for release? Send us the details at product@foodticker.co.nz and we’ll help spread the news.

Whittaker’s goes for a vibe in a limited edition, Fix & Fogg takes the peanuts out of one its classics, while a whiskey maker puts the peanuts into one of its drops.

Whittaker’s has introduced two limited edition flavours featuring botanical extracts infused into its classic milk chocolate.

The company said the new flavours have been named after the feelings they capture. Refresh takes Whittaker’s famous 33% cocoa creamy milk chocolate and infuses it with peppermint and lavender, while Relax uses the same base mixed with passionfruit and chamomile.

The 100g blocks will be available in supermarkets and independent stores nationwide from Monday 23 May for a limited time until sold out.

There is no let up in NPD from Fix & Fogg.

This week, the nut butter company has out a new spin on its Everything butter, replacing the peanuts with almonds.

The 275g jars of Almond Everything Butter are being sold at the company’s online store, Eva Street window, Moore Wilson’s, Farro, New World and Pak’n Save.

And finally, a company putting the peanuts in a product, but perhaps not one you would expect.

Sheep Dog Whiskey has made a peanut butter whiskey, which they reckon is a smooth tipple with the flavours of peanut butter, vanilla, and caramel popcorn.

Available now from all good liquor stores.
