Hellers New Zealand and PepsiCo’s Bluebird Foods have collaborated on a new sausage-flavoured snack.

The duo have developed two new sausage flavours drawing on Bluebird’s Rashuns and Burger Rings in a meaty merger.

Mother Earth expands its Nutty Sensations range

Prolife Food is extending its snack game ahead of smorgasboard season.

The Hamilton-based company’s Mother Earth brand has added three new flavours to its Nutty Sensations range, comprising Smokey Spanish Cashews, Tangy Sriracha Cashews and Dill Pickle & Cheddar Cashews.

The 140g bags are retailing for around $5.50 at major supermarkets.

And two new beers from Hop Federation to round out the week.

The Kono-owned brewery has released a NZIPA, Hold the Line, with Southern Cross, Taiheke and Nectaron hops to create a tropical taste at 6.3% ABV.

To celebrate the brand’s tenth birthday, it has developed a Brut Pilsner, Cheers to 10 Years, with Riwaka, Motueka, Nelson Sauvin hops. It is described as crisp and classy, with champagne yeast added at the end of the brewing process to create Brut-style bubbles and a dry finish.

Both are available in 440ml cans and 50L kegs.
