Fresh Cuts: What’s new for the week to 1 April

1st April 2022 By Staff Reporter | news@foodticker.co.nz | @foodtickernz

Check what’s new to the market for the week to 1 April 2022. Do you have a new product scheduled for release? Send us the details at product@foodticker.co.nz and we’ll help spread the news.

This week, Fix and Fogg crowdsources a new flavour, a cola from Greece looks for traction, AF delivers zero sugar, and Moa adds a Fresh Hop hazy IPA.

The latest offering from Fix & Fogg comes as a result of the nut butter company’s annual ‘design your own’ flavour competition.

Reigning supreme with more than a thousand suggestions was Peanut Butter and Jelly, which the company duly created by combining a 70% dry roasted peanut blend with mixed berries to put a new take on the classic.

It retails for $7 for a 275g jar and is available now in stores nationwide and through the Fix & Fogg website.

A new cola is looking for traction in the beverage category. Green is a 100% natural soft drink range, created in Greece in 2011, and imported into New Zealand by Green Room Brands.

The range is sweetened with stevia leaf extract, with natural flavours and no phosphoric acid, preservatives or aspartame.

Produced in four SKUs, the range is available in a four-pack of 330ml cans for $7.99 online.

Zero alcohol innovator AF Drinks is adding another zero.

The company led by Eat My Lunch funder Lisa King has launched a zero sugar option, namely the AF VØD%A SPRITZ inspired by the timeless vodka soda.

The 250ml cans are available on the AF website in a 10 pack for $38, or 24 pack for $89.

And we round out this week with another beverage, a new limited edition Fresh Hop Hazy IPA from Moa Brewing Co.

The 440ml cans have an alcohol content of 6.0% alco/vol and are now available for sale throughout Foodstuffs South Island, as well as on Moa’s website, with a six box retailing for $45 and a 12 box for $90.
