Fresh Cuts: Product launches for the week to 3 December

3rd December 2021 By Staff Reporter | news@foodticker.co.nz | @foodtickernz

Check what’s new to the market for the week to 3 December 2021.

This week Pic’s takes off, Tom & Luke cut the sugar, and Alexandra’s dials up the convenience.

If you have a new product, get in touch with the Ticker at contact@foodticker.co.nz.

Tom & Luke’s snackaballs just got healthier.

After formulating a new recipe with 50% less sugar, three additional Tom & Luke Snackaballs flavours have hit the market.

Berry buckwheat, maple & almond, and apple & chia join the existing Tom & Luke lineup.

They’re available in 12 or six-packs at supermarkets or online.

Pic’s latest nut butter is out of this world.

Pic’s has released limited edition labelled jars to commemorate Aotearoa’s first foray into space with the launch of Rocket Lab’s Ātea-1 rocket on 30 November 2009.

The jar labels – on what Pic’s calls the ‘Best Peanut Butter in the Galaxy’ – glow in the dark.

There are 100,000 380g jars available in salted crunchy and salted smooth with an RRP of $6.99.

Ready to cook lentils join couscous et al.

With the convenience trend showing no signs of abating, Alexandra’s has added a lentil option to its Ready to Cook meal range.

The Rose Harissa and Coconut and Turmeric & Coconut products are gluten-free, vegetarian/vegan and, like the rest of the range, provide a meal for at least two people with a pot to plate time of around 15 minutes.

They are on sale now at Farro, Moore Wilson, or Alexandra’s online store and will be in supermarkets soon.
