Clearview Estate Winery’s 2019 Beachhead Chardonnay has taken the top trophy at the New Zealand International Wine Show.
An awards evening was held at The Hilton in Auckland last week, where the Hawke’s Bay winery took home the Champion Wine award.
Distributor EuroVintage was named the wine company of the year.
There were 25 trophies handed out for best in class wines, winemaker and wine company, and the Sir George Fistonich medal for a Legend of New Zealand Wine, which went to James and Annie Millton.
