Christchurch has won a bid to host an international congress in 2023 for the Asia Pacific Seed Association (APSA) at the Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre.
“Having the Congress in New Zealand for the first time will create a significant impact and visibility for the industry while providing new trade opportunities in the Asia Pacific region, including China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Indonesia,” said the New Zealand Grain & Seed Trade Association.
Christchurch beat competition from Australia, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh to host the event.
