The A2 Milk Company has responded to media reports that a potential class action against the company is said to be being investigated by Australian law firm Slater & Gordon.
In a statement to the NZX on Monday, A2 said: “The company is not aware of any legal proceeding having been filed at this time. The company believes that it has complied with all applicable disclosure obligations and denies any claim to the contrary.”
It added that it would respond further if and when any legal proceedings are commenced.
The Australian Financial Review had reported that Slater and Gordon was investigating a possible class action claim against A2 in relation to its disclosure over a nine-month period when it announced four earnings downgrades.
